The following topic is added to the agenda of the Bryan City Council Special Meeting of March 24, 2020. The urgent public necessity requiring this emergency addendum is the urgent necessity to make expenditures to address effects caused by or required to address the COVID-19 epidemic public disaster.

Regular Agenda - First and only reading of an ordinance of the City of Bryan, Texas, authorizing the City Manager to approve expenditures for items not exceeding One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) during the period in which the March 17, 2020 Mayoral declaration of a local disaster due to the COVID-19 pandemic remains in effect, as such local disaster declaration may be extended by applicable law; and temporarily amending Chapter 2, "Administration", Article IX, "Finance" of the Bryan City Code by amending Section 2-1157 "Expenditures for Budgeted Items Not Exceeding $50,000.00" and Subsections (a) and (b) of Section 2-1158, "Expenditures for Budgeted Items of Over $50,000.00" to increase the maximum amount of expenditure that may be executed by the City Manager without City Council approval from an amount not exceeding $50,000 to an amount not exceeding $100,000, during that period.
